| The Lighthouse District is anchored by the historic Port Isabel Lighthouse and the Point Isabel State Park. It is located on the east side of Port Isabel and is bordered on the east side by the Laguna Madre Bay.
The Lighthouse District contains a wide variety of commerce from dining to shopping to ecotours, historic and cultural activities. The Pirates Landing Pier and the Dolphin Docks both offer fishing charters and eco-tours or drop a line in the Laguna Madre from the lighted Pirates Landing Fishing Pier. Shopping in the Lighthouse District offers absolutely everything you could want. From fine art to fine antiques, jewelry, souvenirs, gifts and accessories or just a postcard. For a historic or cultural experience, head over to the Port Isabel Historic Museum, the Treasures of the Gulf Museum, the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage, or take a stroll to the top of the Port Isabel Lighthouse for a 16 mile view. Visit all the stops on El Paseo's Walk of Generals.
