| The town of Port Isabel is the same latitude as Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is connected to the town of South Padre Island by a 2.6 mile causeway, the longest bridge in Texas. Our climate is sub-tropical, semi-arid with mild winters and warm breezy summers. The average yearly rainfall is 27.6 inches, primarily in May, June and September.
