Who would have thought the movies would turn out so successfully for the community -- great work, Port Isabel!---

Classic stuff! Watching a movie, under the stars, with the lighthouse watching over us, a gentle Laguna Madre breeze, and friendly people around makes for a wonderful summer night! Classic!

Thanks for the shows they are real unique and fun to watch at the lighthouse.

My sons and I loved last season's movies. We enjoyed the atmosphere and looked forward to each showing. We are glad you all are making this a sort of tradition for our summer.

Way to go guys! You should be soooo proud! I know we are of you, your hard work, and our city by the bay. The progressive image being put forward for the whole world to see is wonderful. Thanks!

this is so cool

I picked up a copy of R.G.V Family magazine (premiere issue) at the Glayds Porter Zoo and saw your information listed. This is such a neat and exciting thing. I wanted to thank you for providing such a fun family opportunity for entertainment!

i thimk this is so great what the cinema is doing for the community. I remember they used to have a drive in where HEB was or somewhere around there. I was really small but I remember. I used to have such a great time and I feel the cinema is bringing back those great memories I once had. I would suggest that maybe the movies would be recent movies not old ones, but hey its free so i cant complain. Overall, thanks for giving this to us.

Thank you. What a great way to make Port Isabel a destination. (I live on the Island but often find myself going to Port Isabel for all its great events.) My one request is, please go for the old movies rather than the new. Even new kid's movies often have a lot of rude content, and you haven't shown too many that I would want my kids to see. That said, you are doing a great job!

Good Work!

So many great choices! I love dropping in on the Lighthouse movies as often as possible!

I live in Austin but used to work on South Padre Island. I love watching movies at the lighthouse. I'm hoping to go visit and take some friends to experience it this year.

It would be great to encourage people to bring bug spray for those darn mosquitoes, or if the city could spray or set citronella candles...it would certainly make it more comfortable for viewing. Also, encourage local restaurants to offer discounts or specials on those days.
(The City of Port Isabel's Public Works regularly fogs for mosquitoes on those evenings when a movie is scheduled. Additionally, mosquito repellants are available at the concession stand.)

Keep up the great work! More movies than last year? Bravo!

I went to see Van Helsing last October '05 with my family and we loved it.

Looking forward to taking my family to these events! Thank you.

I THINK IT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!

I am so glad this idea was discovered. It's such a wonderful way to get the family together for something special!
